All pictures are copyright Maarten Jacobs. All rights reserved and may not used without authorisation. The conditions for non commercial use are however quite smooth because my intention with my pictures is to make a contribution to better species recognition, specie - and nature protection, nature perception and education. Keeping this website online as well as photographic material costs annually a lot money. No need to say that small compensations are always welcome.
For commercial use the compensation depends on the used medium, the amount of printings and the number of ordered pictures. Each reasonable proposal will be examined.

Pictures may only be used for the agreed application(s). If you wish to use the picture(s) once more later permission must be asked again. I always remain the owner of the copyrights.

Publishing a photograph must always be accompanied by my name as a photographer. If you do not wish this do you must mention this in the application. The requested compensation will be higher in this case.

You can use a photograph for which you have the authorisation to publish it, only such as it is provided. Digitally altering the picture is not allowed, including cropping, changing colors, mirrorring,... If you want to do this, please contact me first.

I do a big effort to make a correct determination of the species. However I can’t be held responsible for any damage or loss due to any incorrectness of the identity of the image.
